AI Apps Are Becoming More Agentic. Our Series Is Evolving with Them.

Written by Jessica Miller | Oct 2, 2026, 1:20:33 PM

AI apps are changing quickly—and increasingly, they’re doing more than responding to prompts.

They can use tools, connect to business systems, complete multi-step tasks, remember context, and take actions on your behalf. In other words, the line between an AI app and an AI agent is getting harder to draw.

That’s why we’re evolving the Gen AI App Series into the AI Apps & Agents Series.

The goal of the series remains the same: help you quickly understand and apply the AI technologies changing how work gets done. But as the technology evolves, we want the series to evolve with it.

From Using AI to Working with AI

Until now, the series has largely focused on the generative AI apps learners are encountering at work—from general-purpose tools to specialized apps for research, content creation, development, and more.

We’ll continue covering those tools.

But we’ll also increasingly explore AI agents and agentic capabilities: technologies designed to do more of the work with you—or, in some cases, on your behalf.

As you explore new courses, we’ll help you ask questions like: Can this AI take actions? Can it use other tools? Can it work across multiple steps? How independently can it operate? And, most importantly, what does that change about how I work?

Check Out the Latest on AI Agents

We’ve already kicked off this evolution with a few courses:

  1. AI Apps & Agents Series: GPT-6 Astra
  2. AI Apps Agents Series: Claude Code
  3. AI Apps & Agents Series: Copilot Agents

And this is only the beginning. Future AI Apps & Agents courses will continue exploring the apps you need to know while introducing the emerging agentic capabilities reshaping knowledge work.

Because learning the latest AI tool isn't the end goal. Understanding how AI is changing what’s possible at work is.
